the economy steady” as grassroots activity proved resilient worldwide. The firm notes
that while market capitalization contracted significantly, overall transaction volume
“slipped just 1.6%, from $9.5 trillion to $9.4 trillion”. Researchers highlighted that “a new
methodology reframes how we measure adoption,” placing Brazil at the top of the global
rankings.
CME Group Expands Crypto Futures Suite
CME Group announced plans to launch Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures to expand its
crypto derivatives lineup.
“As crypto markets continue to mature, participants require broader, regulated tools to
navigate evolving digital asset related price risk,” said Giovanni Vicioso, CME Group’s
crypto product lead in a statement. “Designed for greater versatility and capital
efficiency, these new BCH and UNI contracts allow clients to manage price risk and gain
exposure to key crypto networks within our 24/7, regulated marketplace.”
Bitget CEO Confirms Hot Wallet Breach
At 18:31 UTC on September 24, 2026, Bitget detected “unauthorized transfers from
some of our hot wallets,” with estimated affected funds at approximately $351.6 million.
The exchange emphasized that “user funds are safe” as the loss falls within Bitget’s
Protection Fund, while withdrawals are temporarily paused pending a full security
review. CEO Gracy Chen stated that “cold wallets remain fully secure” and promised to
publish a complete incident report within 24 hours.

Ondo Stocks Go Live On NEAR Network
Ondo Finance has launched access to tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs on near.com and
NEAR Intents.
“Starting with 20 assets, near.com users can access tokenized U.S. stocks, ETFs, and
commodity-linked products directly from their account,” including Nvidia, Tesla, and
Apple. Ondo explicitly notes that these tokenized securities have not been registered
under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 and are offered only to eligible non-U.S. users.
